About Me

Glenda Maitin, CMILT, SCOR-P calls herself one thing above all else: a Campaigner of Empowerment.

She started as the first female apprentice in SAB’s beer division, earning Apprentice of the Year, and never stopped breaking ground. Over two decades, she built a rare combination of technical rigour and human insight across senior leadership roles at Colgate-Palmolive, McCormick, Johnson & Johnson, and Imperial Logistics.

In 2017, she founded Bridge Building OpEx Solutions. In 2018, as Programme Director of the ASCM Global Health Supply Chain Initiative — funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation — she led workforce capability development across ministries of health in Senegal, Nigeria, and Kenya.

In 2024, that work was recognised with two prestigious honours: BBOpEx Solutions was named the overall winner of the Best People Development Initiative at the Pan African Supply Chain Awards, and awarded the Africa Supply Chain Excellence Award for Leading the Way in Training Excellence — recognising transformative workforce development that delivers real, measurable results across the supply chain industry. That same year, Glenda was named a finalist at the Conscious Companies Awards and the Accenture Gender Mainstreaming Awards in the category of Investing in Young Women.

Today, Glenda operates at the intersection of operational excellence, transformational coaching, and purpose-driven leadership — through BBOpEx Solutions, its strategic partnership with CILT(SA), and Return2SELF. She speaks internationally and champions women and youth in supply chain.

Her leadership rests on three pillars: discipline, empathy, and conviction.
